Hello!
I recently completed my Master's in Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh. I grew up in Scotland and now live in Switzerland. I have always had an interest in art, and I draw my inspiration heavily from the TV shows, movies, video games, music, comics and books that I like to indulge in. I constantly look for new creative challenges, and I normally find them in the form of brilliant new characters and stories that carve their way into my heart. ​
Over the years I have mainly worked with pencil but over the past couple of years, I have experimented with digital art, primarily using Procreate V for the iPad Pro and more recently mediabang paint pro for macOS. I take a lot of inspiration from online artists and friends such as youtuber Chris Scalf, Marcello Barenghi and drawholic, tumblr users ticcytx and comickergirl, and deviant artists starfall-glow, Nele-Diele, and wlop. An interest in comics has also led me to Alice Zhang, Lauren Walsh, Jen Bartel, Jenny Frison. Studies of their work helped me develop my own style and techniques and inspire me to capture different atmospheres.
And of course, special mentions to my friends and family; my mother, Rina Udhayasingh, for her constant support and critique of my work, my passion for art surely comes from her! My father, Thomas Udhayasingh, for his constant support and helpful suggestions from a photographer's eye. And last but not least, one of my best friends, Gina Bolognesi, who constantly challenges me to try new things, I wouldn't progress as much as I have without her (as an artist and a person). I can only thank all my wonderful friends, family and teachers for making it this far, wouldn't be here without your support at every turn. (Y'all know who you are)
